Today I seen a program that states it can convert any track from any of the
following to each other.
Nascar 1 &2
Indy Car 2
Grand Prix 2
Is this correct?
It also had some other add-ons, anyone care to comment?

Yeah I saw the program on the shelf at the Best Buy here in Savannah,
Georgia. But it said it would work with GP1 not GP2!! However, It did
say it would work with N1, N2 and ICR2 . Has anyone bought the thing
yet??????? Give all of us an update!

First Nascar 1 and 2 use different 3do formats and to my knowledge,
noone has been able to break down the N2 format as of yet.
Second GP2 is completely different than ICR2 and N1 and N2 and I have
never seen anything that could convert between GP2 and any of the
others.
Now we all know of Gerhards converters for N1 and ICR2, but if someone
has now broken the 3do coding for N2, I'd sure like to know <g>.

Due to overwhelming demand:
I seen the program in Waldensoftware / E.B.
Selling for $30.
It was professionally boxed and wrapped.
It stated clearly what I previously wrote. I clearly seen a new setup screen
for all the programs listed, all the programs can setup their cars on one
screen like N2 using their in box editor. It talked about added graphics, a
paint program ect.
Today at lunch I'll get the name and company plus anymore details I can.
So far from all the responses I'm the first to see it. So obviously we don't
no much. :) That's a rag on myself.
Q.B.M.
What was the title of this program?
Ok the name of the program is Top Speed by Head Games in Minnesota.
I re-read the box and I can say they are using extremely vague terms when
their describing the track conversions. Until I know otherwise I'm assuming
the least and their conversions mean you can rename an even to anything you
like. Whoopi. :(
Again there's supposedly a lot of little utilites in there, but I won't toouch
it until I hear something positive about it.
Q.B.M.
The CD contains Mark Formo's various Windows setup editors (N1, N2,
ICR, ICR2, and GP2) that were once shareware. The other utilities
included sound very similar to those now freely available at The PITS
and other sites. The N1 editor does let you adjust the rear camber and
tire compounds, so you can cheat without needing to know how to use a
hex editor. It sounds kinda like those fly-by night Quake add-on packs
full of free levels and utilities that were gathered from ftp.cdrom.com
and other sites. I just can't see paying $29 for this stuff.

Stop on by, what can it hurt?
says...
I can't remember the name of this program. I saw it today at Best
Buy...and I think it's lame.
For the record it does not work with GP2.
It says it works with ICR 1&2 and Nascar 1&2.
It gives no explanation of how it convert tracks. All it shows on the box
is setting up cars. It will even let you "cheat" and put camber into the
programs. Papyrus will not like this. It did not say it would do it to
Nascar2 tho' Actually, it does not say anything really.
Why would I want to buy a program to convert ICR1 tracks? here is no need
to convert Nascar 1 tracks. The new N2 Headquarters program will do all
of the setups and tracks settings.
So what does this program offer that isn't already out there? From what I
saw...nothing.
I didn't feel like wasting $30 to see how well it works.
