I love GPL. To me it is the best game. What makes a game good you might say?
Well the physics model, graphics, multiplayer, number of people playing, and
lots of other things. I see so many people get hammered for saying game X is
is the best ever. To me there is not any competition to GPL, but for others
that is not true. Some of us should keep more of an open mind. Some people
either do not have the 100's or hours to devote to GPL or another highly
accurate sim racing title or they do not have the desire to let the computer
take up that much of their life. They just want a car game that is fun to
drive and looks good. Since they do not have a large amount of time to
devote to it, they want something that is not as hard. The ability to turn
the computer on and play the game without going off the road 27 times on the
first lap is appealing to them. To these people games like GPL are too
frustrating. To a person like this the most important quality of the game
might be the graphics.  Well I think that is ok. That is not my choice, but
I understand why others take this route. We should be more accepting of
this.

Agreed, but didn't some of these same people throw all of their toys out
of the pram because GPL was too hard for poor little them?

They're always the people who complain that GPL excluded them from the
fun, never mind the fact they had countless other titles to go and have
'fun' with.

It's getting to be a crime to say 'it's not as good as GPL' around these
parts. That gets said a lot though, I wonder why?

When each new sim is released, we are bound to compare it to the currently
accepted "best" sim. So is it as good as GPL or not?
If we stop comparing them, maybe we won't notice when a sim comes along that
IS better than GPL...

It is also possible that if you get too attached to one game (in this case,
GPL) that when a better sim does come along, people will not see it for what
it is or give it enough chance.

that it's better than GPL!
