DRIVER = DESTRUCTION DERBY MK3

Driver is the same 3d engine as Destruction Derby. Going from the initial
reviews in this newsgroup they are at both ends of the spectrum.

The game is not 'awesome' nor is it 'pants' although there was the potential
to install a few realism bits into it like the crashing from Monoco GP or
even Viper.

It shouldn't be released at a high price because it is old coding with new
3dfx / d3d added however if it goes on sale for about 25 UK then it would
be worth it.

Actually Driver was developed by the same company as the DD1 and DD2.
However, the engine for the PSX version was recoded from the start, as
they said in many of the preview interviews. I would assume that the
same applies to the PC version.

As for DD3, that has already been announced by Psygnosis, and is being
developed by a different company from the original 2 versions.
