Well, the version of NASCAR that came with my Matrox Millenium runs 30fps on
my P150 with grass and asphalt textures set to off and everything else on
auto. At Talladega in never drops any details. VERY NICE!
Now if I could just get a special Matrox version of ICR2!!

This week I upgraded from a P90 to a P133, as well as upgraded my Cirrus Logic 5434 2MB DRAM card to a Diamond
Stealth64 Video 3240 with 2MB VRAM. Before, I could run ICR2 and Nascar in SVGA with only skids and paint, car
textures, and smoke/dirt on. Although I am not for sure what the exact frame rates were, ICR2 ran at approx.
25-27 fps. Nascar ran at 20-22 fps. After the upgrade, I can run ICR2 with everything on but grass and asphalt
textures and still get around 25-27fps. But with Nascar, I could only turn horizon and object textures on and
still maintain the approximate 20-22 fps. I can understand that ICR2 would be faster due to the improved engine
as well as Univibe, but I don't understand why my performance in Nascar did not improve as much. Oh well, I
guess it doesn't matter since I spend most of my time playing ICR2.
So, at least in my experience, I cannot run at these frame rates. If anyone has any suggestions on increasing
my frame rate in Nascar, then please let me know.
Thanks-
Eric Giles
how can you tell what your frame rate is while playing?????
