I need a .doc that explan how to setup the car!
A VERY professional explanation of all the effect that I can obtain
when I modify a particular component of the car!
In particular I need help on the suspensions and the bars!

Where can I find a Wall of ICR2 ?

Me too! I've been playing NASCAR for 2 years but just got ICR2 about 3
weeks ago and I'm lost when it comes to setting the car up. Is there a
decent setup guide out there anywhere?

I don't know what level you guys are talking about- you probably
already know simple things, like trying to get tire temps even across
the tires and up to heat. You do that with inflation and camber, in
the simplest sense.

But in reality, I think setups are in fact more art than science.
Because tire temps don't really come down to inflation and camber-
they come down to how you drive the car, and if giving more rear wing
holds the rear tires down more (keeping them from sliding so much),
tire temps may actually GO DOWN.  Also, when you start getting
different tires at very different pressures, trying to make each tire
equal in temp, sometimes you lose the setup all together because the
lower inflated tires are like very soft shocks, and grip more than the
more inflated, causing altogether new problems.

After 8 months of trying to get my setups right, I don't think I've
really learned a thing. I thought all along the way I learned a lot,
but actually, the setups that REALLY work, the ones that you break
your own records with, always seem to work for mysterious reasons, and
have certain *instabilities* built in to them that any sort of logical
approach to setups seems to be against.

My advice: start with Papyrus' own setups, study them closely,
especially camber, pressures, and to some extent wings. Wings are more
obvious than some of the other things. On road courses, it seems lots
more front than rear makes for some very fast setups, but tough to
drive, jumpy, springy.

After you've messed around with some of Papyrus' setups, go download
some of the record setting ones at any of the various ICR2 pages. They
are pretty *** sometimes, but it is always cool to know that
somehow, someway, someone ran at Long Beach *4* seconds faster than
your best with it. Sometimes I think I'm looking more at people's
personalities than at cleanly better setups- that is, THEY can drive
these things fast, but they may be ***for anybody else's style.

Lately, I just want to drive, so I use a generic setup and adjust
opponent strength down so we run together. greatly simplifies the task
of trying to better the setup; a little more wing here or there
usually does the trick.
