That's EXACTLY what I'm saying.

Maybe, but the real racers don't have to deal with a knock on the door, or a
telephone ringing, or a nagging wife/bratty kid...<g>  Do you hit 'pause'
during your races?

You exit the corners faster than that at Darlingon?  140 seems kinda fast to
me...

Jason...

I have to respectfully disagree with you on that point.  There's no way that
racing a sim can test your endurance because life gets in the way of sitting
"in your car" for long enough to test a person't endurance.  What with the
interruptions you will get.

The reason I like to run 100% races is to be able to utilize pit strategy,
and see if the car itself is set up to run a 500 mile race.  To me, it's
more fun to set my simulated situation to match the real-life racing
situation.  So I can see how I can do using the same parameters as the real
racers do.

I can understand Papy's decision to not include it in the sim because it
opens doors to cheating and stuff.  Not to mention the extra programming
involved.

But they COULD offer the option in the form of some kind of enabler feature.
That way a racer could decide for themselves if they want to have the
ability to save a race or not.  And if they belong to an offline league that
does not allow it, then they could disable the feature.  There could even be
some kind of tell-tale in the standings file that is generated at the end of
the race.  Then the race administrator could see if a driver used the
feature or not.

Just a few thoughts...

Have to agree here as well.  I would love to have the save race feature
back.  I don't sit at the computer and race sims to test my endurance.  Lots
of better ways to test your endurance....or lack of, and I'm not going to
get into that here.   :>
