I think the following email that i had is self-explanatory .........


Subject: Re: Sierra Order

Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2001 10:34:49 +0100

I was going to contact you today.
Sierra (Havas, now called Vivendi) told us today that the software's
UK
allocation has been used up and therefore we will not be supplying any
copies.
Electronics Boutique are the main supplier for the game.

In the meantime, I would like to offer you a free title from the list
below as a goodwill gesture:

Civil War
***storm
***storm 2
Golf 99
Ski Racing
Outpost 2
*** Deluxe 2

I can fully appreciate that you will not be very happy with this news.
All complaints should be directed to Sierra UK (Vivendi) either by
calling 0118 920 9100 (hold for the operator and ask for Customer
Services) or send a new e-mail direct to me and I will forward it.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for the trouble, and I hope one
of
the free titles will interest you.

As I have a spare copy of N4 here in the UK, that was bought for me from the
USA, perhaps I'll now be able to sell it.

Thanks for the info.  I am really pi$$ed off about this.  I thought I would
be a good little boy and order it direct from Sierria-online.  The price was
good at 19.99 and was due to be released on 13th April (Friday 13th! I
should have known!).  As of yet I have still to receive the email.  At least
that explains why there is now no mention of N4 on the sierra-online site.
I am also annoyed because I am sure I could have bought the game last Friday
and used
some of the Easter long weekend getting to grips with it.

.

Two questions:  Why has it taken them nearly a week to let you know and why
have I yet to be notified? Some way to run a business!

Oh well on the plus side I finally achieved a -negative GPL Rank this week.
My thanks go to all at the GPL Rank site for all their efforts and to
Sportsman's Racing League for making me drive some of the more "difficult"
tracks and cars which I am sure has contributed to improved driving
skill/technique.
