How do you get it to output to VGA? I had a look around before but couldnt
find anything (that wasnt very expensive)

And actually, I do like racing the slow cars. After a while, it is too easy
to win with over-powered fast cars. I find it fun to race against very
closely matched vehicles where one mistake may cost you all your energy.
Again, too bad about the slow-down/catchup AI.
But give me more real tracks, more cars on track, half-decent AI. Oh, and a
dash view wouldn't hurt.
Playability is more than just repeating a circuit in search of the magical
100% score.
OTOH, it does have:
Great cars (too bad not as many as GT2!)
Very good sound.
Pretty imaginative courses . Ditto the GT2 comment, and add some shorter ones
like Autumn/Mini!
And once in a while, a real gripping race. Try a 78 lapper where you win by
less than a second.
The PC needs a game/sim like this, but with the above enhancements.
By the way, who is this dameon Terd? To many Dameon's is the reason I no
longer race online.
Thanks Again
Rick
From what I think was your original post, it wasn't clear if you have GT3.
While I might have focused on the negatives, I suggest that you run, not walk
to the store and pick it up. It is almost reason enough to buy a PS2 alone.
If you already have a PS2, and are enough of a sim fan to post here, you want
this game. And at $19.95 it is the bargain of the year. Yes, it is far from
the last word in *racing* realism. But the graphics, sound, and *driving*
realism are top notch (well, almost on the last). If only there was a PC
equivalent...
[btw, I used to waste countless hours on GPL, F1GP2, F1RS, SCGT...]
As far as the "gameplay" being better in GT3 over a Papy game. Since when
has "gameplay" suddenly become having tons of cars and upgrade options?
The cars in GT3 do not handle very realistic, they incur no damage and you
can only ever race 6 other cars. You can win most track by just slamming
into walls at top speed and go your way. Not to mention unrealistic
understeer.
If you think the gameplay in GT3 is better than GPL, seriously, stop coming
to a sim forum right now and go into the mundane world of casual gamers that
have grew up on a PlayStation and somehow think their "***".
To the poster, please tell me you didn't spew this misinformation in Motor
Trend? Did you even research anything? Did you try anything for yourself?
Where did you come up with this idiotic idea that GT3 can do 720p? Sheesh
man.

You must really enjoy the headaches that comes with PC ***! Seriously, you
should rent a PS2 from Blockbuster, along with GT3 and Need For Speed: Hot
Pursuit 2, and make a decision based on actually experiencing it.

I installed the SSM Mod too and I used the combined carset and the default
install with the LeMans converter.
I have a Lemans track in F1 2001 but how (or where) do I get one for F1 2002
?
I also have the prototypes installed in 2001 along with the ALMS and FIA V3.
Will these (or somwthing similar) become available for 2002 ?
ie. Will it be possible to get the usual Porsche's and Prototypes racing in
2002 along with the fab cars that came with the Mod itself. ?
Thanks in advance to all who care to reply.

The ALMS guys are also working on this, they have screen shots of the LMP
prototypes plus the new GT cars. It should be a wonderful Christmas season.
The plan is for the LMP cars to be added next then the GT(Porche 993's)
cars by the end of the year. They have tested 60 cars on the LeMans track
but that won't be available for awhile. They claim to have the pit order
problems worked out and PLAN on make 50 pit stalls available and working.
Yup but not right away.
I'm just hoping all the track & car guys get together and include the
working INCAR headlights we had for the V2 FIA GT mod. A must for nite
racing even tho it's probably easier to see the road WITHOUT the lights...it
is just that much more immersive.

I went back to the file I downloaded and sure enought the Lemans track is
there but is did not get installed in either the SeasonSSm or Season02 dirs.
Can I just drag the "lemans" Dir into the SeasonSSM dir or is ther some sort
in "install" I must do ?
And thanks for all that other info on what will be coming later.
