nr99: running software mode after rendition install?

by Brian Fo » Sun, 14 Mar 1999 04:00:00

The first time I installed the game using the windows option, so that I
could use my usb wheel.  With the install, the rendition version was giving
me several errors.  I re-installed with the rendition version selected, but
now I don't see any .exe to use the windows version.  I also didn't see
anything obvious on the cd.  How can I get the windows version without doing
two installs?

Look in your N99 folder. You should see an executable for each version, ie
3dfx, rendition, software.
Copy a shortcut to your desktop for whichever version you want to use. If
you don't see them in your N99 folder, I'd do a new install, removing the
old one. Be sure and back up any setups or custom cars you may have.
