Extreme Trial Motocross Problem

by Tim A. Deatherag » Tue, 24 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Hey Extreme trial MX experts !

I love motorcycle Sims/games and but I CANNOT can't get the bike to rev
above a few thousand RPM. Sometimes it works but most of the time the bike
just idles along at 10 mph.

FWIW, I have a PIII 450mhz system with Diamond Viper 550, Diamond Monster
3dII card, and a SB AWE 64 soundcard.

Hi Tim. I'm no expert, but what controller are you using?
I'm using keys, which I re-mapped, with no problems.
I mapped my throttle/brake to D and A.

I love this game, other than the engine sound being just a touch to
frantic and the control overly sensitive (at least with keys).
I noticed using the On Bike view makes the control feel far less
twitchy.
I ride for real, and it's the best on bike view I've ever seen, so I'd
probably be using it anyway. :-)

I just used my T2 which was setup for N99/TPTCC and it
gassed great.  I tried using the auto shifter but they kept
overrevving and I burned up the motor before I finished the moto.
danged embarrassing to not be able to even climb the start finish
jump hehe
