if there is a typo (intentional or not) by the original author, a "sic" means
"i put exactly what the author put, even though i know that it is incorrect".

The literal meaning is "so, thus".  It is a Latin word and is often used
to show that something has been copied exactly from the original.
Its intent is to indicate an error, usually spelling.

(In the comment I referred to the word "truely".  Its correct spelling
is "truly".)

I don't hate you and you're not stupid in asking.
The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked.

When I read, and when I post...  smiley's are included in all messages. I guess I take it for granted that everyone else sees them too.

As I said before, is it a true rumor that on your Cray supercomputer when
you race at Gp2 you need to take off the sky at Monaco to get a <100%
        Occupancy ?

        ;-)

    Aw...

You've never seen a Cray, have you, Francois? My Cray runs 67,492
instances of GP2 with all graphics on at Monaco, at less than 34%
PO each.

Not in the slightest.
After all, that is what imagination is all about, isn't it folks?!  Or
have you youngsters lost the use of your imagination because your
entertainment is spoon-fed to you?

As long as the circuits simulated the shape/elevation of the real
circuits then they could be called 'A' through 'Z' for all I care.  Same
goes for the teams and the drivers names.

I would care, if I couldn't drive at Spa or Hockenheim. I don't think
we could without a FIA license...

That maybe Bruce, but i think you would have a very hard time convincing any
Publisher to go with a game referred to as "Geoff Crammond's GP3".

Without an FIA License or at very least an endor***t it will be a very tough
sell to get into retail units when you have FIA License games competing for
the same space.

I disagree here. GP3 is the game that wouldn't need an FIA license.
Microprose say they've sold over 850,000 copies of GP2. That's a huge
market to sell to, based on GC's reputation alone. Everyone has made a
stack of cash out of GP2 (hopefully Geoff included), and the games
market, like Hollywood, will back a winner until he fails.

Well Bruce, it would be truely "sick" ;-) to fake an entire _interview_,
wouldn't it? Gams press might be unreliable at times, but it's nothing close to
the tabloids yet, is it?

In the States, all you'd need to do is call it "Non-Smoking Grand Prix
Racing" and every cry baby greenie weenie this side of Durango will buy one
whether they know what it is or not.

The question referred whether *WE* needed the "real" names in order to
buy it, not whether it would be commercially viable.
