to elaborate a little, I was experiencing almost no lockups. Installed the
new patch, and now cannot even get through the pace lap of an offline race
without a lockup. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game,
still no luck. This bites a**.
Also have tried many different D3D and opengl settings. Still locks up.

Reinstall sim.  You should be okay.  Don't delete anything.  Just reinstall.

Actually, my D3D frame rates picked up by about 10-15.  No lockups so far.

I haven't tried the OpenGL yet.  The .1 patch was guaranteed lockups for me
in OGL.

Ditto here on the fps in D3d. Very noticeable. AMD 800, GF3. First I ran it
in D3D, first patch open gl was better. Now it is back to D3D.
interesting...

I tried OGL again tonight for the first time after installing the .2 patch.

Man, I thought it was fixed :)

I managed to get about 10 laps in before N2002 crashed and presented the
"Phone home to Microsoft" dialog.

Rats :(

Absolutely, positively NOTHING has changed on this computer to cause this.
Original doesn't crash.  .1 patch crashes, .2 patch crashes.

D3D is fine.

All other games are fine.

This really bums me out because during the period I was able to get some
laps in, I was pulling 120fps at Pocono!
