Hmm, I posted a while back on this and nobody commented, so I guess I
am the only one to be ***enough about that.... Doesn't it bug anyone
else that a game as good as NFSPU lets you do 0-60 mph in 4 seconds in
a boxster ? Or in a 993 ?  275KPH in  boxster top down?  ;-)  That game
is almost good enough to let you do some comparison shopping before
buying the real thing, except for that.... Or maybe the speedo is
screwed up (I am using KM/H)... NFSPU i porsche dealerships soon ? ;-)

Have you tried the new GT2? I know it's a race car, and should be really
fast, but for me it always gets to about 150 in first and tops out above 350
(km/h, but still really fast). I guess the top speed is not far off,
although the GT1 only getting to 250 is odd. The strangest thing is 150 in
first gear. Wow. I think there are some definite problems with the speedos.
I haven't noticed that the speedo changes in the same car (although it could
well be true) but the speeds are very odd.

There seem to be inaccuracies in the top times too, or why is my best time
in the Alps 01:42.15, while the best time programmed by EA is 03:52.00 ???

I can't even get close to 4 seconds; more like 8, which greatly bugged
me. I am just too eager on the throttle, I guess. Haven't noticed much
odd with the speedo, but I hardly ever look at it 'cept to see where I
am topping out once in a while.

I suspect getting a car physics model which models high speed issues and
off-the-line performance well is difficult. The top down is visual
candy; It doesn't seem to affect performance.

You aren't, by chance, the "artist formerly known as...."

That would be a purple 928, I guess.  But how do you see over the dashboard?

Just kidding.  Stylish tag.

It should because it does. A good 15 mph in real world testing done
here in Indiana. A simple change of drag would help.  The poor
handling gets me because that is one of the nicer things of a Boxster.
