GeForce 377 + NFSPU = bad things

I am running ref 377 drivers on my Creative GeForce card and just picked up
NFS PU. Install went fine and game detects N10 card. All the menus look
great but once in a race the screen turns the same color (no textures) and
only displays gauges.

Anyone with GF running NFS? What drivers are you using?

GeForce 377 + NFSPU = bad things

NFS FU - I know the 377 was a clean install as it was the only driver set I
loaded after a rebuild 3 days ago. Now, Ive cleaned my system of the 377 and
loaded the 368 ref driver from Nvidia site.

Go into NFS PU and it locks when going to race mode...doesn't even make it
to the game screen at all now. So I uninstalled NFS PU / rebooted and
reinstalled. Should have checked the directory because after I reload and go
back in my original player is still there...dikhead!

I am going to uninstall NFS completely and reload it. THis ***ing pisses me
off - GeForce has always had problems with NFS4 and now it appears PU is
going to be a *** to get working also. I would just like to know who the
hell is at fault so I can go on a rant...all my other D3D titles work like a
charm so I tend to want to blame EA.

Yeah, before all you 3DFX fans start saying I told you so...you better hold
your thought because I am going to be right there when you are trying to
resolve the numerous issues that will undoubtedly accompany your new V4/5s.

And I am still looking for some help on this so anyone? anyone? anyone?

More - after completely uninstalling the game and reinstalling I get the
same error with the 368s

Then I read a readme on the disk...and low and behold, the 377s are INCLUDED
on the NFSPU cd. So I install them thinking this may be a different release
from the leaked version all over the internet.

Back in the game however, I get to the race screen and everything except the
HUD is the exact same color. Pink on the first track with a little blank
area where the sky should be.

Damn, maybe I should have got F1-2000 because I know SCGT runs fine on my
system and I also knew NFS4 sucked*** on the GeForce...at least the early
drivers did.

Help from the GeForce crowd please?

Running a creative Geforce with 3.77 driver.
Game runs ok, although Im not impressed with the apparent framerate, it is
bit jumpy when racing in one of the city tracks.

Still running the Warez Beta version.. could be that the final version has
been optimized ?
Going to dump the warez anyway as soon as the game is available here.

I have a GeForce 256 from ASUS (V6600) It installs, the menus really made me
going and then ....flash....back to desktop !
So i have read about it that there is a problem with the detonator drivers 3.78
from nVidia.
You had to go back (at least in the myth version) to 3.68  But i have 3.68
already and it doesn't work. So i really start to wonder if i will buy it.
Can't stand it having problem with it because i really look for it to try nfs5.

Anybody a solution?

I had the 3.68 installed when first tried the game and it didn't work either
but when I installed the 3.77 drivers that came in the CD it worked just
fine.

I was using nVidia 3.68 with my Creative GeForce DDR and it crashes. But
after I use the 3.77 beta comes with the CD, it runs perfectly ok. FPS
is defintely higher than V2 :)

Hope it helps.

Grfffin.
