I did one awhile ago, got up to 247mph on the back straight at Daytona.
Makes you kinda wonder what track mods can be run on a server without
someone knowing?

And so what is the point of racing/competing if the whole dang thing is
hacked and compromised?   The nobility of racing surely isn't much in
evidence at those speeds.
(sounds corny doesn't it?  but my point is valid...it is no longer Nascar)

Races setup from the server to all client in multiplayer racing have to have
matching settings, so there's no possible tweaking in those parameters.

Also, there's no real point cheat or not to do hotlapping on oval tracks.
It's *really* pointless, imho ;-)

Well, hacking is NOT what I had in mind.

I think it would be interesting to host a server, advertise it as NO
PLATES, set the rankings high enough to keep out the yahoos, set the
length to 40% or so, and see what competition is like with the extra
HP.  I wouldn't wan't to see any other modifications beyond removing
the plates.

Strictly looking for some variety, and curious to see how an extended
race would go with the tire wear at those speeds.

IMHO, it really dont matter if the cars got 2000 or 20 bhp - as long as the
setting is the same for everyone.  Papyrus seem to agree aswell...    given
the fact that in N4 we can "cheat" if we want to..

A few nights ago I joined a race at Texas. The hoast had modified the track
grip in the track.ini file. N4 notified me that "the race director" had made
changes to the track grip and that my ini-file would be temporary modified
for this race.   Only big problem wat that the grip or "bite" was so
extremely high that I actually ended up rolling my car just by turning the
wheel a bit too much - too fast.

It would be nice if the multiplayer interface had some way of
expressing the specific changes that had been made to the track or
cars, and better yet before you joined the race.  It's kind of
irritating to go through the setup process, get in your car, get out
on the track and find out that tire grip has been increased 400% or
something.
