Logitech to CH pedal Problem

by RoadRacingR » Wed, 22 Aug 2001 10:02:46

Hello,

I have a problem that I am unable to solve. I recently converted a CH (300-115)
pedal/rudder to my Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP (red) steering wheel. The
problem is that it screwd up up GPL and doesn't work. The steering works and
the brakes work, but the throttle does not. I can't access anything to get it
to work. The theory is to connect a dual axis pedal instead of the single axis
pedal provided by Logitech.

I got these plans from Eric Cote and now he seems to not be able to explain
anything that he states in the plans. I won't mind so much except for the fact
that I can't run GPL anymore until I either get the Logitech system working
again, or I can get the CH-Eric Cote system working.

It has also effected two new games that I have received. Mobil 1 Rally
Championship and TOCA 2 both do not read the Logitech software since this
conversion has taken place.

Can anybody out there please inform me as to what to do. Is there a GPL file to
correct this? Is there a Logitech file that can fix this? Eric Cote in his
instructions says that there is a way to change the single axis to a dual in
the Logitech software, but now he states that he was referring to the CH
hardware. A difference of nouns (soft and hard) is a big deal. I hope that I
don't have to delete GPL or worst that I will have to delete all the software
programming to correct this problem.

Please HELP!

Sincerely,

Roger Giddings

Are you by any chance confused about which wheel you have?  The GP is
the black wheel with the red accents, and it already has split axis
pedals, in hardware.  If you have a completely red wheel that would be
the older model, which may not.  I am wondering if your are trying to
use instructions based on the old model for a new GP wheel.  Again, the
GP wheel does not need split axis conversion.
