I need your help fellow racers...I formatted my HD and then loaded Win98.
F1RS will not recognize the V2 card.(Yes I have the latest drivers) My
system can and has handled the games requirements just fine. The game will
only allow me to install the D3D version (yuck!). Any and all help greatly
appreciated.

Thanks guys

Edward

P.S. anybody know when ***'s Sportscar Racing is due out?

Make sure direct x 5.0 is installed, then make sure you reload the drivers
for your card.

Be sure to remove any voodoo drivers from your F1RS directory and all other
directories on your system except Windows and Windows/System.Voodoo 2 only
uses the drivers in your Win and System directories. It should work fine
then.
Sid.

Not sure about Voodoo2, but this applied to Voodoo1......

Make sure that when you installed the game it runs the f1voo.exe file
and no f1rs D3d file?

Sometimes f1rs can move two important files, and thats whu f1rs cannot
*see* your 3Dfx card?

Check your windows/system directory for Glide.dll & sst1init.dll. If
they are there then fine, if they are not, copy them from your original
f1rs cd to the windows/system directory and f1rs will now be able to see
your 3Dfx card ok.

Erm....NO?

You might also want to try editing the UBI.INI file in your
\windows\ubisoft directory. Make sure you have '3dfx=1'.
If you do this, you may not need those DLL's. I haven't tried
this myself, but it may work since those DLL's are not
needed for Glide2.43 support (which the game uses).
