N3 and ATI Rage Fury problems?

by Moe » Fri, 17 Sep 1999 04:00:00

I havent bought this game yet, but I am curious to know whether anyone has
had trouble with Nascar 3 and an ATI Rage Fury card? I seem to have trouble
with MGPRS2 and this cursed card.

Thanks,

Moe

If I run it with my ATI Rage Pro (which is basically same league, therefore
same general problems), I get a lot of funky colored textures and some texture
degradation........it's kinda weird when the entire bottom portion of your car
is gone ;-) Anywho, the smoke still looks nice in 3d, lol. So, I run it in
software mode. Get all the new features basically except skidmarks and smoke.
I'm getting my Monster 3d II transfered into my computer next Tuesday.

The Rage Fury should be ok in D3D with Nascar3.

Does anybody know if there is going to be a fix for the ATI rage pro
cards? So that we can use D3D?

I am using an Ati Rage Fury 128 16M version and have had no problems
at all.  Once in a while a little fickering in replay or watch mode,
but none for me during play.
