I got Indycar2 way back when it first came out. I just purchased a Stealth 2
S220 card, and I have heard some things about a rendition version of this
game. What I'm wondering is if there is a patch for my existing ICR2 (Like
the one I got for the Windows version) to rendition-enable it, or if I'm
screwed unless I buy a newer version of the game. Any help is appreciated.

You can download the patch at either the Sierra site <www.sierra.com>,
or at The Sim Project <http://www.simproject.com/>...The patch was
designed to address problems with Cyrix chips, but turned-out to be
a great way for anyone with a Rendition card to own a 3d version.
BTW, the patch doesn't give you any of the enhanced tracks, but you can
use some of the track patches found around the 'net to upgrade most, if
not all, to Rendition standards. =)

I'd like to thank the guys who posted here and helped me out with this.
What I ended up doing is buying the rendition ready game for $10 and then
patch things from there. The game seems to play faster now, and the 3d
effects are a nice sight, especially for a game that's 3 years old.
Now I a second question: The game comes with 2 versions of 5 of the tracks.
One of these is a rendition version(?), but what about the other tracks? Is
there a patch to enhance these as well?
