rec.autos.simulators

I have noticed numerous generic looking cars none of which appear to be from
the cars which are available.  What's up with that?  There will be 5-6 blue and
white unsponsored cars and several orange and white unsponsored cars....So do I
look like that to everyone else too even if I choose one of the fictional cars
that Papy makes available for online racing?

Anyone find a way around this?  I seem to have seen a few "real cars" online.

In order for you to see the paintjob everyone else is using, you must
have the paintjob they are using, and if you want them to see your car,
the same must be true - they have to have it on their hard drive.

If you have painted a car, upload it to www.simracecar.com.  They are
the recognized clearinghouse for N4 cars that online drivers use.  The
have three big zip files (about 75mb) of uploaded N4 cars.

If you need a painted car and don't have a hard-on for a specific
sponsor, I have several available for use that I've painted.  Go here:

You can view them before downloading if you want to.  The zip files
contain PSP files, so if you need the number changed or need one
converted to an N4 .CAR file, I'll be happy to do it for you.
