Microsoft and VIA AC97 soundchips

I know that (from experience and Microsoft) that my MS Force Feedback Pro
(mk1) will not work with my onboard Via AC97 soundchip and Windows 2000.

I understand no fix is available for this.

My question is - I am thinking of buying a MS Force Feedback Wheel (mk2).

Does this wheel work with the VIA AC97 onboard soundchip and Windows 2000?

I have considered buying another soundcard but all my 5 PCI slots are taken

Thanks

Clive

I take it you are asking if it works with the gameport on the soundcard. The
newer MS FF wheels are all USB so it's not an issue with your soundcard. You
do have USB ports right?
If MS still has a gameport wheel available then don't buy it and get the USB
version instead.
Make sure the box says 2K or XP compatible because the my MS FFB wheel works
fine in XP but the software is it comes with doesn't work correctly.
