F1RS Demo problem.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I have tried a demo of F1RS, it installs correctly, but when I run it,
I get the 3dfx splash screen, which does not totally disappear, and
the computer locks up.  It also locks up when I try the D3D version.
Any help?
