I think Monaco is a much better game (and they both are games) than GPL, but
I think GPL is a little harder than Monaco. Actually I think GPL is much
harder than Monaco.
A top time in MGPRS2 is incredibly difficult.

In what way is MGP2RS better then GPL? Just curious.

<sarcastic>
The sound
The graphical details
The track accuracy
The lens flare
The old POD game engine
The non-intelligent interface
The AI
The non-FIA license
The old-type fake racing
The bugs
The no-sound in replay bug that's kinda old and non-fixed

I would just start off saying that this is my opinion. GPL is an awesome
game, but I prefer Monaco, because I like the way modern F1 cars handle (I
know the GPL is a sim, and thats the way the cars really handled back then,
but I prefer a little bit of stability in my games), I prefer the graphics
in Monaco (the graphics in GPL are good also, I just prefer Monaco's). I
also like using the easy mode in Monaco (I'm not into tweeking cars to get
faster).
Plus Monaco has 17 tracks, and 11 cars.
Also, Monaco works with my current hardware setup, GPL does not.
I understand all the talk of GPL, it's truly an awesome game, It's just not
my kind of game.

Fair enough.

I wonder when N3 comes out you're still as fast as you are at NROS.
I've seen your efforts in GPL. <G>

Hehehe good shot. Im a traditional non-open wheel driver. Not oval but
traditional stock-car road course racer. I know from real-life and virtual
experience. As a Touring car driver it was much easier to find myself more
in my reality with a stock-car such as on the NROS than with a diabolic car
like a 67 F1 ;-)
Still, I found my place now with the Honda. I did a 1:22:67 lap in practice
at Kyalami. Don't tell me that's slow with a Honda! I probably will never
master correctly the GPL cars, but at least Im having a blast trying to get
those sub-1:30 laps at Zandy with the Honda. But shoot me a Stock-car at
the Ring and I can put you a sub-8minute lap ;-)
As for my hate of Ubisoft... It's something very deep that goes more than
just because of the software they publish. And no it's nothing related to a
job as some people speculated ;)

Hehe. Maybe, when N3 comes out, someone creates a track converter like
ICR2<->N2. Then we can check your claim. I'll print this out, and hang
it on the wall. When the time is there, I'll challenge you!
Ok, but this isn't an issue for the original poster. Personally, I do
have F1RS and MGP2RS, but I don't play them. It just doesn't feel
right compared with GPL. For a modern F1 sim I still prefer GP2.
