Does anyone here know of the release date for F1RS here in the US? I'm
playing the French demo over and over, but without the ability to
modify the driving help or the car, I can only do so much. I am
*DYING* for this sim to be released here!

Thanks,

THAT....never could figure out why GP2 was not fixed in regards to
lack of rain...RAIN in F1 is essential. F1 RS does it so

The demo is one helluva tease is'nt it?  :)

I've heard that the game wont be released in the US and Canada until
March.
Naturally there will be a few shops carrying it, because they ordered
directly, but they may be hard to find.

You can order direct from UBISoft at 1-800-UBISOFT.  I believe its
$39.99 or $43.00 (in that range).  You can also order online from
InteractCD (www.interactcd.com).  They seem to be 7-10 days
back-ordered right now, but as soon as they get it they will ship it
out.  I live in Canada and I got it 5 days after there shipment came
in (including weekend).  They are charging $39.95.

Good luck, it's definetely worth the effort.

Marc.

Why don't you just mail-order it from www.interactcd.com

They sell the UK version, which according to Ubisoft, is no different
from the eventual US release, except that the US release would have
included all the patches, which you can of course get from the various
F1RS sites.

I don't know how you could wait so long. Singapore is also pegged to the
US release schedule, so I just took the plunge and ordered. No regrets
!!! :-))))

I agree the rain is stunning! In fact the whole deal is stunning.

The rain wasn't fixed because it was never broken. It was one of those,
watchya call design "features". In honor of F1RS my copy of GP2 is
going in the garbage :-)

It's released.  Call 1-800-UBI-SOFT.  They are currently out of stock
but expect more in by the end of next week.

Is the Interactcd.com cost identical to ordering from UBISOFT?

I don't know, but Ubisoft.com only supplies to the domestic US market,
whilst Interact does lots of export. The software is apparently the same
though.
