SCGT steering ratio?

SCGT steering ratio?

by Rick Kar » Thu, 02 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Is there any settings that can be changed to effect the steering ratio
on the cars in SCGT.
I find that some cars (GTP, GT1) are almost undrivable with the speed
compensation turned off, they get very darty. I find that this is the
only position that gives the proper force feedback response. Even with
a hint of the compensation turned on, I find that there is almost no
cornering and road "feel" except for the speed curbing which seems
very harsh in comparison to the rest of the feedback.

I currently have the controller sensitivity down to the lowest setting
and still find it quite darty on the higher powered cars.

If you have a LWFF wheel, you can also adjust the wheel sensitivity in the
Profiler (I use the 1/4 setting) and find it helps quite a bit.

Couldn't agree more on this one...
I turned the steering sensitivity off and the force feedback is definately
improved but I just can't handle the car like it. I hope they are looking at
providing a patch that will give us some actual on track feedback rather
than that we get off the track which doesn't feel too bad.. not that I would
know of course, I mean why would I be driving off the track ;O)))
