What is the difference between steering lock, steering ratio, and linearity?

In trying to set up my momo force for nascar 2003, I cant decide the best
way to go about doing it in game. I just dont get when to change one
steering setting as opposed to the other. Since I had an LWFF, im used to
just turning my arms a little, where with the momo I gotta get used to
turning my arms more to get the same effect. I dont know if i should leave
it like that or decrease the ratio or increase the steering lock or what.

I too went from a LWFF to the MOMO and I know what you are talking about.
For the most part you will want to mess with the steering lock.  The LWFF
had a 240 degree sweep. The MOMO has been increased to 270 degrees. So if
you want the same amount of front wheel movement with the same amount of
turning on the steering wheel you will need a tighter steering lock (lower
number in Papy games). For example if yu were using a 14:1 with the LWFF try
a 12:1 with the MOMO.  I actualy like the bigger range myself. I'm none to
gentle when it comes to the wheel so the extra travel helps. You don't want
to stand to close to me when I'm playing DTR or a rally game. Your likely to
get an elbow or two. lol

Wait.  Doesn't a higher ratio make it *less* sensitive?
