After getting my AL pedals and shifter, I'm really getting
into GPL. Can you add modern day cars to GPL? Like McLaren F1's, BMW
Z3's, Porshe 911 RS's, Supra's etc? Would be kinda fun to race around
in some of these cars with GPL's great physics engine.

Yes it would be...no you can't.

I guess we could start the whole 'wait until WSC comes out' debate but, I

F1-2001 seems to be the closest sim to what people wanted in WSC..sooo...if
you want to have some of the stuff that people want in WSC, go get f1-2001.

I keep hearing about WSC for a long time. It's been years in the
making now. It better be really really good when it comes out.

BTW, can anyone recommend racing games similar to Sports car GT but
also support multiple game controllers?

But aren't the cars in F1-2001 indy cars? I like driving sports cars
similar to the ones in Le Mans.

They have new ones that aren't F1 cars (not indy cars, indy cars are MUCH
cheaper) someone is making a porsche 962 I believe.
