Wow - 125 laps and only 3 cautions.  That's pretty impressive.

I left my computer to turn on the A/C in the house to lessen/prevent the
possibility of a screen freeze, and came back just in time to miss the
roll-off from the grid.  Starting at Phoenix a lap down (after qualifying
4th) would have been a bummer, especially considering we had Tim White
AND Mike Grandy (two of our resident aliens) on the front row.

Thankfully, a good number of people showed pitty on me and they allowed
me a BIG break after the first caution that allowed me to catch up to the
end of the field.I was making my way through the field and just barely
tapped dan obrien in turn 1 and spun him around (sorry dan, I was simply
driving a bit too aggressively), causing the 2nd caution.

We actually had to make a round of green-flag pit stops, something you
don't see a lot in online races that have cautions turned on.  I'm not
sure who won, but Brian Oster did a fine job, finishing 3rd despite a
missing 3rd gear (good thing we didn't have many cautions).

I ended up in 4th with Jan coming on fast, but his efforts were thwarted
by the last caution coming out with 4 laps to go.

Note to Don Wilshe - you didn't have to quit for the duration, I was
merely informing you that you were in the wrong car.  You left before I
could tell you to simply change cars and come back.

<snip>

Thanks, but actually the credit goes to all the people that restarted
behind me for not running me over since my re-starts were very slow.
Once I got in 4th I was all right.  I should have short pitted when
Grandy did and maybe have been closer to the front.  Didn't really
have anything for them though, so probably would not have changed my
finishing position.

Ya, he left awful quick, should have stayed for a few more seconds and
would have known it was ok to run.  His lap times were faster than
what I get with my open setup.

No problem John. Very easy to do at this track. I didn't have anything for
ANYBODY anyway. And thanks again for the paint job! Sorry Jan for running over
you in practice. After your advice I just calmed down and ran in circles and
ended up OK. Also sorry to Olav for the practice incident...I just never saw
you on the outside. A very good race by all IMHO.

No worries about that incident, it wasn't in a race afterall. The
jetlag got the best of me however, and after a dreadful qualifying I
found out that I was too tired to even try racing for the safety of
others. Ended the night with a episode from my fresh Babylon 5 season
1 DVD box instead and slept until 1:30 pm the day after :)

What we had here was a genuine, grade-A   Ass-Whoopin'.

I've never been lapped TWICE in a fixed-race before.

Since this oddball track isn't one of my best, my goal was a top 10 finish
with no damage.  I accomplished this, and not much more :)

I picked that up too last week.  Along with the Band Of Brothers box set.
BOB has to be the finest mini-series ever done.  DTS... Yum :)

Why would you pay $90 for a TV show....

No, but when it comes down and I can find a deal I will.  I have all
ready seen it for $45.  And, it's not just a tv show, it is one of the
best mini series ever created... probably about 10 episodes.

Well, Ambrose had a habit of stretching/embellishing the truth quite a
bit, but at least it's based on fact/actual units, etc., unlike Ryan.
