I fuess you don't realize how hard it is to sell half a million games.
If not even the whole NFS series COMBINED can sell more
than N2, exactly how can one game do it?  I mean, NFS
is in discount bins everywhere (except for III)  and it's still not
gonna sell that much.  And Nascar Revolution isn't destined
for a Deer Hunter-like phenomenon.  So there's like 0.1%
chance it will sell more than N2.

I agree that thew graphics are good and the pit stop animations are cool.
However theres no driving challenge to me.  Its rather arcade in controll.  I
will probably get the game despits this beacuse maybe they will change some
things for the full version (highly unlikely...but possible).

As far as EA Sports unseating Papy, never.  Papy has too big of a following
plus they make Sims as opposed to games.

All of this being IMO but from what i see its a common view.

Thanks for the news. To anyone else that has trouble getting it from
the above url try www.download.com . Do a search for Nascar and it
should be top of the list. I'm downloading from there right now at
50Kps.

Well douchebag, and i use that term as lightly as possible, Papy has a
proven track record for the best SIMS in the genre.  NASCAR 1999 has 35
tracks, 3 different classes, a garage where you can setup the car, paintshop
so your car is yours, some of the best driving physics short of GPL and a
huge online following.  As far as being***less and dateless, I will let
you take that up with my fiancee' who is not only gorgeous, but has more
going for her than you do***head.  Go crawl back under your rock with your
lameass attitude and stay out of this newsgroup!!!   When you are old enough
to get your driver's license and can appreciate a good racing simulation you
may be permitted to rejoin us for intelligent discussions.

Farewell,
Russ

> F1RS sold 1.1 million.

Sorry, but I don't believe you.  According to PC Data, N2 was on
the charts for over 1 year, and at many times were in the top
five selling games in the country.  F1RS *didn't* even get on
the chart.  So how can it sell so many?  And European market
is also very small comapratively.  Not even Tomb Raider 1,
which was huge in Europe, sold 1 million.  So there is  NO
WAY F1RS sold 1.1 million.

America is the biggest PC Game-purchasing country.  Europe
is a small chunk of the market compared to the US.

Consider this : The biggest selling game in Europe in the last 3 years
was Tomb Raider.  Tomb Raider *didn't* even sell a million
in Europe, and only sold around half a million.  Now, how
can you justify as sale of f1RS to be 1.1 million, when
1)  It didn't even enter the top 20 in the US
2)  It didn't sell anywhere near Tomb Raider.

I believe Ubi Soft is telling the truth when at the top of their MGPRS2 web
site they say they sold 1.1 million copies of F1RS.
