Because NASCAR Revolution is an arcade game and Papyrus makes racing
SIMULATIONS.

I agree.......
I am very e***d about the release of this game in Feb.
The graphics make N'99 look outdated and the sounds are
better too.  The physics and damage  are not adjustable in the demo,
so this game may have more "sim-like" features that all of you realize.
You Nascar99/2 backers shouldn't be so quick to dismiss it as an
"arcade" game until we all see the finished product.  Why cant we cant
we have great graphics and gameplay as well?  And also, Nascar Revolution
will outsell Nascar99 or Nascar3 by the boatload, because the are many more
gamers who like that kind of game, than "hard-core" simmers. Sorry, but
that is just the facts.

BTW, I love Nascar 99 also :)

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Sorry, but Nascar 2 sold more than the whole Need for Speed series on PC
combined!!!
After over half a million sold, there is NO WAY Nascar Revolution
can *even* come close to that type of sales.

With an attitude like that, it's no wonder you get flamed.
Most people who frequent this news group are not your average
pre-puberty "geek", but are mature, happily married sim racers. The
one's here who are presently not  married are currently working on it.
:-)
Try modifying your input a bit and i am sure you will get more mature
replys etc.   This is not a flame towards you, but if you continue
posting in the way you did this one, then your stay in R.A.S will be a
short one...
Starting of your previous post with a," I can't believe none of you
rubes" is not a good way to get feedback on an article you posted in a
mature news group.  Chill out a bit and start again.  :-)
Cheers,
Ron

Pardon me, if I offended you I appologize for it. In my opinion, a flame
would be calling YOU***less. Did I do that? I think not. If anything, I
was flaming EA Sports and NASCAR Revolution. I'll go back over my posts,
but I am certain I never flamed you. I am just trying to state the obvious
of the sim world that Papy will still be overlord of the sim world. I am no
longer going to argue this point to you. Oh, by the way, early Merry
Christmas for the 26th (Yeah, I know xmas is 25th) when you get your next
present from EA Sports, a nice Win95.CIH computer crash.

NASCAR 3 or NASCAR Racing 2000 Edition, not sure which. Last I heard it was
going to be the latter.

Since you asked the question...this is the answer.  First,
NASCAR Revolution is in no way a simulator like Papy's games.
Second, since you are referring to graphical illusions, Viper
Racing beats it hands down as far as physical racing design.

Third, you must have been sniffing too much floppy cleaner to
insult people who have been on here for years, and leave your
email address, not to mention I tracked down your domain just
to see where you lived at.  And with your comprehension of
public graces, I think your mention of 'date-less' was more
of a reference to YOUR personal life, not ours....

Actually, it probably could if they priced it right.  I'd bet $29.95
would let it break N2's record.  At that price even **I** might buy a copy
(and I've owned N1, N1 Track pack, N2, Nas50th and N99)...   'course I, too,
believe it will be more of an arcade game, than a sim, that doesn't mean it
doesn't have its place.  I loved the demo's sounds and graphics, the pit
animations are cool (unneccessary, but cool), and I'd HOPE that the loss of
control going into the pits is only in the demo.

I've played it, and I still say it's for a little kid who don't know how to
control or drive a stockcar, cause obviously you thought that N2 was too hard,
so you decided to play some little baby's arcade game so you can beat it.  Get
real...I wouldn't have posted if you wouldn't have busted on Papy, cause
they're still pumpin' out the best damn games around
