I would like to apologize for the comments that I have made in the past,
about it being a red neck sport, and such. I recently meet a young lady that
is a Nascar fan, it caught me by suprize. She is not what I would consider a
red neck at all. So, I will try to be more open minded, and maybe even watch
a complete Nascar race (with the sound off, I can't stand the, um, southern
annoncers).
I would try to talk her into watching a F1 race, but I think she would find
it rather boring, after watching Nascar.

Thank you, Mr. Lohman.........NASCAR fans are no more all rednecks....than
F1 fans are all rich, stuck-up and stupid.  Of course, a pre*** of
each among both groups is quite apparent.

Congratulations on meeting a "young lady" who apparently has you thinking
seriously (about her).  That just doesn't happen every day to any of us.
That's really cool.

Regards,

Tom Pabst

that's ok.

they probably can't stand some ignorant dialect snob either.

"southern rock rhythm music...a la lynrd skynrd..."
a southern announcer don't need a man like you around anyhow.

It's not that I can't stand them because they are Southern, I am from Austin
TX. It's just that they have that "good ole boy" style. It's just not my
thing, just my opinion. If you like them, fine, I'm sure they do an
outstanding job covering the races.
I shouldn't have used the word Southern, sorry.
