Wait until after E3 and we will hopefully know more.

Geoff Cramond has a long history of not sticking to release dates.
Before GP2 came out Microprose apparently tried to guess when Geoff would
be finished and missed by something like 10 months (if memory serves.)
You're going to have to learn to live with "when it's done."

From gp2.com we can read that the rumour is, that it will be out November,
and there will be an announcement at E3, and possibly a video.

You're right about the GP2 delay. If -my- memory serves (hmm<g>),
there were some small "scraps" of info that seemed to indicate that
GP2 was indeed completed at the time expected. But, MPS (or whoever it
was that controlled game releases) was not happy with the performance
of the finished product, and Crammond was forced to basically "gut"
GP2 until it ran faster on mid-range computer systems.

Hints of the above are in GP2 files (so many of them are disabled).
Also the GP2 manual, which displays many features (including in-game
photos) that were never seen in the final release).

I really don't think Crammond blew it. The game has a single minor
patch (basically caught before final release). The guy does know how
to code.

Either way, I guess it's good the way it all turned out, as GP2
-still- need heavy-duty equipment to run at full-detail.
