I would prefer to hear Greger Huttu's comments on F1 2001 after the
patch....

could you oblige Mr Huttu...?

Would be great to hear from you.

Well, I haven't driven that many laps in it after the patch was
released, but I like it. Driving on the limit in this sim is a great
experience, I feel much more like I'm driving a car than in F1RC for
example. You can "feel" the car better, especially now with the great
FF. I think the force feedback is just as good as in GPL and N4, maybe
better, need to do more laps to tweak it a bit more for my wheel.

The sounds are great (esp. engine), best I've heard in a F1 sim. Never
really  liked ISI's graphics for some reason, but they are good
enough.

I only wish it would have better multiplayer and better tracks. There
are a couple of "ok" tracks, but in most the layout is pretty bad in
places. Anyway, the physics are good and I really enjoy driving it.

That's my short view on it, need to do more laps later and maybe I'll
write a complete review of it.

What settings are you using now?

I'm using the settings you posted for MSFF, I have the USB version so
I had to change the FFB_Steer_Force_Input_Max setting. I've
experimented with some other settings a bit too, but these feel pretty
good. I just want to find out if it's possible to get a bit more feel
into it, for example I can't really feel if the car starts
understeering on corner entry.

At the moment the forces feel pretty much the same as they do in GPL
and N4 though, so can't be that bad. :)

Increase FFB Grip Weight.  0.5 should be high enough.  That
will give you more feedback when the front wheels lose grip.
The feedback will be in the form of reduced steer force
resistance in the wheel as the tires begin to slide.
