Some say Ferrari, some Lotus. Any opinions?

The Repco is quickest by far,  hence the reason that most of us who run
the f3 & f2 cars on a regular bassis, don't use it, as it gives an
unfair advantage..
The Eagle and Lotus are the next quickest, followed by the Ferrari,
Coventry, Murasama, then BRM..
The difference between the Eagle, & Lotus is very minor, and both have
a very slight advantage over the Ferrari in top end speed, of roughly
1 mph..  :)
The Ferrari, is the best handling chassis of the F3/F2 classes, which
more than makes up for it's 1 mph defecit in top end when it is
compared to the Eagle or Lotus.
The F2 chassis's  are the same in relation to handling verses power as
the F3 cars are.
So, if anyone wants to carry the Lotus syndrome from the F1 series over
to F2/F3 racing,  (you know the one that says,"i have to drive a Lotus,
cause it's the fastest" ), then in the F2/F3 class, the Repco is
unbeatable..
If however you want to race competitively, dice and have fun, then
choose either the, Ferrari, Lotus or Eagle...
Cheers,
Ron

Brabham by far. This is such a well known fact amongst F3 specialists
nowadays that many leagues are banning it!

It's the Brabham.  Since the power is taken out of the equation (and the
Brabham is such a low-revving motor that you're still using half of the rpm
range) the Brabham has the best power-to-weight ratio.  In F2, it's a little
more apparent, since you're going only 2000 RPM short of the redline (i
think) in the Brabham, whereas in the BRM you're just barely getting into
the powerband there :)  But like I said, since the acutal amount of power is
taken out of it, and the Brabham has the most low-end and the lowest weight
of the cars, it's the fastest.  The BRM, having NO low-end :P and the most
weight is the slowest.  Everything else is sort of scattered in the middle.
