Can anyone tell me how to use the ghost laps I downloaded for TOCA ?
I can not see any directory where saved games reside. Do I have to make
a directory somewhere, or do I have to win a race so I can save the
championship and then place the ghost laps in it.

They're all in \codemasters\tourcar\ttsaves with names like "donshort.lap"
I think this directory is created as soon as you install the game.
Remember, your own best ghost lap will disappear if you replace it with a
downloaded one, unless you back it up somewhere.

follow the instructions in the readme.txt file after you unzip the file.
I think you put the *.lap file in your ttsaves directory and then when you
select a time trial, set 'Load Best Lap' to Yes.
