I have a 300a with abit bh6 board. 128 pc 100 ram and creative labs
voodoo banshee 16 meg with pci soundcard.

Occasionally my graphics start to deteriorate and it appears to have
some ghost like images in the background. Sometimes they look like
building in the background or perhaps faint computor chips (no I'm not
drinking)  Any ideas what could be casuing this??
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

No idea, but did you look at www.billsworkshop.com?  He has a million tips
and solves all the known, and a few unknown, problems of the banshee on his
site.

Could be heat.  Have you increased the frequencies of the card using the
overclocking programs that are out there?

You should probably get a fan blowing air across the heat sink on the card
or slow it down a bit using some of the available tools.

Like the previous post said, go to Bills Workshop.  He is the the Banshee
help guru!

I cured this problem by switching off the Windows screen saver and backdrop.

Or was it by ensuring that the Windows screen mode was exactly the same as
the screen mode used for GPL?

I am sure it was one of these, give them a try. I think the second is more
likely.
