Best Rally game to get.

My local PVWorld is closing down and are having a buy one get one free on
all software under 50. Yesterday I got Civ III and Max Payne for 25 (UKP)

I was also looking at a couple of Rally games, Rally Trophy and another one
I can't quite remember the title of.. something like Rally Championship...
Both are quite new releases I think, as they are still selling them at full
price.

I was going to get Medal of Honour Allied ***, but they didn't have any
left.

So which is the best rally game to get? I already have Colin McRae 2.

If it's Rally Championship Xtreme - the latest one - RUN AWAY.  I
doubt RC 2000 (or Mobil 1 RC, as it was also called) would still be on
the shelves at full price, but would be worthy of consideration.
Rally Trophy, post patch, sounds like it is a real winner.

That's the one RCE... Was Mobil 1 RC the one in the bright orange box? I had
that one a year or so ago, but wasn't very impressed with it.

Looks like I'll be heading back to get Rally Trophy then.  :o) Now I just
have to decide what to get to go with it.

Mobil 1 Rally is not much fun to me, its basically about staying on the
road, but the off-road physics model is not bad but not interesting. Just
tried Rally Trophy , and I think it's the best Rally game ever. Awesome
physics model, the best. Excellent scenery, almost photorealistic. The next
best Rally game is Rally Masters, which has excellent force feedback
effects, and excellent physics model.

I don't have Rally Trophy yet, but I can second the recommendation for Rally
Masters.  I have both Rally Masters and Mobil Rally 1, but I find that the
one I go back to again and again is Rally Masters.  Though it can be a real
thrill to drive some of the very long stages in Mobil 1 (particularly at
night, in the rain...), something has always felt odd about the physics
there for me.  In Rally Masters, the feel of front-wheel drive, rear-wheel
drive and 4WD cars are all distinctly different and very convincing.  The
cars respond as you would expect them to on different surfaces and manage to
convey an excellent sense of the road, even without force feedback.  And I
find the graphics to be stunning, to boot.
