'Comes to that, I once did 540 through there - only had two wheels at
the end, though.

Whoops, I must have missed that...  Darnit, my transcriber screwed up again...
:)
Actually, it doesn't matter.  I can destroy the blue cars just as easily....

Ok, this explains why I can't do this.  From what Graeme(and others) have said.
I always(usually, anyway) turn in late.  After he mentioned it, I looked at
some of my replays(or made new ones) with a critical eye.  I think the reason
that I *do* turn in so late is that I can't see the track well enough to SEE
the turn-in point.  I'm basically just 'reacting' when I finally see the
turn...  This is most obvious at Silverstone(the replay that Graeme saw) and
Spa.  He also mentioned(IIRC) that I'm waiting until I'm OUT of the turn until
I start accelerating again.  It's difficult for me to separate the edges ot
those two tracks from the surrounding dirt/grass.  Since I got GPL, I've
upgraded my video card from a V1, to V2, and now, V3.  However, I still have
the same problem.(!)  Any helpful ideas?  I have a 15" monitor currently.  I'm
not really sure that getting a larger(or just diferent) monitor would help, and
I can't afford to buy one just for S&G...

Eldred, I have the same problems on the Silverstone track. The track
is so damn flat that it's hard to judge the points where to turn. At
Masta this is easier, since you can see the line become darker in the
distance, making it easier to judge the turn-in point.

The perfect place to practice flat, blind corners is Long Beach (from
the converter) by the way, what a nightmare that track is!

Hehe...I think I've completed *2* laps at Long Beach before I gave up in
disgust.  It's a *beach*, all right. :)

I used to do the exact same thing...  In my case, it was because I
look to close to the nose of the car.  Try to look farther ahead and
see if it helps.

After I started looking far ahead, the line through some corners
became very obvious (like La Carriere at Spa, and practically all
of Silverstone).

Ok, I tried it.  Very dificult.  I ran about 30 laps at Watkins Glen, and about
50 at Silverstone.  I seem to have lost what little smoothness I *did* have.  I
didn't get anywhere CLOSE to my PB, and ended up with a stiff neck,  Stress, I
guess...
However, I don't have ANY problem looking farther ahead in my real car.  In
fact, I often see trouble on the road before the car that's *ahead* of me...  I
just can't seem to do it in the sim...  Well, I *can*, but it ain't pretty...:)
