I am currently considering purchasing the Guillemot Ferrari FF controls. I
would like to hear from anyone who is using them as far as how you like
them, any problems you have had, what are the pedals like etc...

I personally have been very happy with it. Very solid controller alot of
buttons....more than I'll ever need. So far so good.

I have had lots of fun with mine, and no problems so far.... except one odd
little thing, sometimes the FF just quits after 3-4 laps at the Ring in GPL,
it has not happened anywhere else or in any other game.
Wierd, any suggestions ?

The paddles are some times weak but if you have brought it recently these
are reinforced A great wheel otherwise! all the would top it off is the act
lab gated shifter! Come on guillemot!!

Im totally Happy with mine, but..

The FF effect disappearing at the ring happened to me too..
I thought it was broken but no: just had to start the game again.

Sorry to disagree guys...   but compared to the act labs wheel i find the
ferrari ff scary..it seems very imprecise in  a straight line.I have to keep
correcting it to keep going straight... and ... i just dont like it ...
however the rest of the guys do!!  and the pedals are really nice..

I have read about more ppl having those FF disappearing problems. And it's
not only the Guillemot FF, but several other brands to.
So it must be software related ?? Or are they all using the same FF
engine/servo ??

I too have the Guillemot FF. And I'm extremly happy with it. Took me some
time to addapt to the pedals that are a bit to soft in the spring for my
taste. I was used to the Thrustmaster pedals wich are somewhat stiffer.
Havent had any FF disappearing expierinces though.

i too have experienced the quitting of FF. however mine isn't limited
to the 'ring. any track at any time! sometimes it shuts off but will
tease me with psuedo FF and then drop out again....

i think i've noticed a corelation with either spikes while onlilne, or
even -get this- graphics..last nite at zandy, i passed a car on the
side of the track. at the very instant of going by, my FF quit!

i havn't noticed it quitting while offline. tho' i don't race offline
much so i don't know if thats a fair assesment-

everything about it is nice. i enjoy it, except for the random
quitting of FF.

good feel, and made well. i've had the thrustmaster T1-T2 and Pro...
and this is better than any-

It's called system overload ... I think at its peaks is when you are loosing the
FF, as you gave evidence below.

And I have to agree with you Juan, I too am not impressed by it in terms of
straight line precision.

I will say that the clamping system works well though.

As for the shifter paddles, the first ones were too delicate, but the new
revision is now too stiff in my opinion.

hi,

ACT labs i'd prefer but it's to much of a hassle ordering from the
states(contacted them and that's the only way, ordering is not even
possible from their euro HQ)
So how's the ferrari wheel impacting fps?
as bad as the MSFF or as little as the LWFF?

thanx
