Why the **** have you got caps lock on all the time?

  DID ANYONE ELSE GET GT2 FOR XMAS OR CHANUKAH AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN ? THIS GAME IS SO FREEKIN COOL I CAN'T STOP PLAYING IT ! HOWEVER I DO GET THE FEELING IT WAS RUSHED A BIT FOR THE PRE-HOLIDAY RELEASE. SO FAR I HAVE OBTAINED ALL LICENSES AND ABOUT 51% OF THE GAME. SO FAR I HAVE DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING BUGS: * FORD GT40 AND SHELBY COBRA COUPE ENGINE SOUND PROBLEMS, * THERE IS AT LEAST 1 PRO STOCK DRAG CAR BUT THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A DRAG STRIP. *NO MENTION ANYWHERE OF THE ADJUSTABLE LSD CONTROLS IN THE CAR SETTINGS MENU . * AND DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE SUPER LICENSE IS USED FOR( that i worked so hard to get! ) ? IF ANYONE HAS EXPERIANCED THESE PROBLEMS IT WOULD BE NICE TO HERE YOUR THOUGHTS .

  Got me. From what I've gathered fromt alking with others, you
may have to pop in the arcade racing disc and see of the drag
racing is on there. Or you may have to wind certain series to
unlock the new races.

  Got me.

  I'm pretty sure there's a super license race or two on the
arcade disc. I'll be checking tonight.

2) Consider this helpful advice: Whilst I agree GT2 may be an excellent
program, This is RAS (rec.autos.simulators) which concentrates on *PC*
based driving simulation based programs, such as F1RS, GP2, GPL, SCGT,
etc. While it is acceptible to post messages about pc based programs
which are not strictly considered simulators, such as Motorhead, NFS,
etc, it is *NOT* generally acceptible to post messages regarding
*CONSOLE* based games. In fact I'm sure a flame will be along shortly....

3) Try one of the many console based newsgroups or webpages for more
helpful info.

4) This has been a public service announcement.

I for one like to catch info on the console games.   I could care less about
F1RS, GP2, GPL, SCGT, etc...
I'm a drag racer at heart, and browse this newsgroup fro info on such, and
to check out any relevant info on hardware, and consoles.

True enough. However, I think it is generally accepted that this
particular newsgroup is used mainly for pc based posts.

I'm not against consoles, or arcade type games (I own and use both, as
well as pc's and sims), and I'm not trying to start a flame war.

I'm just making a general point and trying to redirect the guy to a more
appropriate place. There are many other more appropriate places to ask
about console stuff than here.

Did I say that there was anything in the charter? Or that console stuff
is banned? No.

Count how many messages are posted here to RAS.

Count how many are console related.

You will find that only a very small minority are console related.

Therefore, *GENERALLY* most posts in this newsgroup are PC biased.

Thats *ALL* I'm saying. Got it?

#2 sure as heck looks like you are saying that console comments are
not only unwelcomed but don't belong at all; IE. banned.

I don't "imply" anything, I say what I mean, or at least I try to. I
didn't say non pc posts are banned, I didn't say there was anything in
the charter re: non pc posts.

I know what I posted, I don't need reminding, cos it was me that posted
it!  Heres the relevant bit....

The even more important bit there I think,, seeing as it was my post, is
the word *GENERALLY*, get it? No, probably not.

Your interpretation, not mine, and as it was my post, mine counts.
Carry on trying to light the flame war if you like, I know what I mean,
and I hope that *most* other readers on RAS do to.

Not trying to carry on a flame war and while it's nice that you know
what you mean obviously the rest of us read what you wrote.  That is
the one downside to the internet is that without voice inflections and
such it is very easy to misinterpret what is meant versus what is
said. Quite often what my odd sense of humor intends to relay as humor
ends up being taken as serious, etc.  In this case I simply read it as
what you wrote which implied heavily that discussion of console games
and such are highly unwelcome and if you had your say would be banned
outright.  That might not be what you meant to write but that is how
it was read.
