I have GT and now GT2 and have pretty much exclusively play only those
two racing games/sims on my Playstation. Otherwise, I'm a PC driver
having a lot of fun with Nascar3, DTR, GPL, Nascar Legends and SCGT. I
have found that after driving with a wheel on the PC for so long, I
absolutely can't stand driving with a hand-held controller (even the
dual-shock controller) on the Playstation. I just don't feel as though
I have the same kind of control as with a wheel, and for me it's not
immersive enough. My brother gave me his old Mad Catz wheel for the
Playstation a while ago, tried it a couple times and found out it was
worse than the dual-shock controller. Not being able to drive with a
decent wheel on the Playstation really turned me off of GT, and now that
I have re-newed interest with GT2 I'm hoping to get over this hurdle.
I'm getting to my question... be patient. I'm thinking about buying an
Act Labs Force RS wheel with RS shifter and Playstation cartridge in the
near future. Now... my understanding is that the FF will not be on when
using it on the playstation. My question is, has anyone actually tried
the Force RS on the playstation, and how is it compared to say... an old
Mad Catz wheel or even the dual-shock controller?
I think I'd have a lot more fun with GT2 if I could find a wheel for the
Playstation that I liked.
Thanks for your time and input!
