When I start the game I choose single race; Talledaga; then go thru practice;
qualifying; warmup; then race.  At Talledaga qualification even when I run 192 mph
laps, which should put me around 15th place, I am listed as P39 in the standings.  I
go to the next session (warmup) then the race and always have to start from the back
of the pack.

Help!  I've read the manual, I've looked at all the information I can find here, and
on the NASCAR Racing homepage and I'm stuck.  Please post some advice for a Rookie
driver.

Don't forget that Talledega is a SUPER SPEEDWAY and you have to run 2 full
qualifying laps or else it won't count and you start last.

Anyway, Talladega requires TWO qualifying laps.  With the restrictor plates,
you really do need that extra lap to get up to speed.
