Toca2, wheel and joystick?

by Arto Wik » Mon, 04 Oct 2004 02:55:00

Sim racers,

I just bought Toca2 and tried to assign the controls
to the wheel. An intersting problem occured:

I have Logi Momo (black) FF wheel (USB) and MS Sidewinder FF
joystick (USB). There are no problems with GPL, RBR, N2002,
and F1C9902 finding the wheel, and IL-2 finding the
joystick. But I cannot find a way setting Toca find
the wheel! Well, actually it finds the throttle, brake,
gears, etc. in the Momo, but it does not find the
actual wheel! It only acceps the x-axis of the joystick!
Toca2 doesn't seem to get any signal from the x-axis of
the Momo! How is this possible? Any fixes or guesses?

I would not like to do something that spoils the good
behaviour of those other games - Toca2 is anyhow not as
important to me as the others I listed...

If I remember correctly TRD2 does not support multiple controllers. Have you
tried with just the wheel plugged in.

Seems like it does support multiple controllers, but t also seems like you
need to be really fast moving your wheel to get it to assign.

TRD2 does support multiple controllers- I used a USB MS wheel's pedals with
a gameport wheel in the game fine.

cheers

That made the trick! VERY fast!
Thank you tomb!

BTW the game seems to be fun! Not so realistic as GPL and RBR, but
fun to drive and beautiful tracks.
