go through your .plr file, like all other EA games and
changed the
Half Rate="0" // 0 = super-high physics

I agree with this post. Also, i just love how the replays END the moment
you crash.

But they got a "draft" gauge, just like the real cars!

The fact they added that to the gauges alone shows how "sim" focused they
are at EA IMHO.

OMFG hadn't noticed that.

For me big turn off was the moment you crash you get pulled out of the
car to look at the replay.

Thought they said this game was focused at the *** simracers

Exactly where (in which folder) can that .plr file be found?

Don't know if this applies (haven't tried getting into a massive wreck), but
like other ISI based titles, there's an option in the PLR file to globally
disable AI control of the car.  The F1 series had that enabled as well as
the separate (?) AI control for pit stops.  It's worth going through the PLR
file to look for such options.

Hmm , that actually does work :-) Thanks !

The exact phrase is:

No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car (except autopit and
auto pace lap)

Thank you JLe!  Just what I needed.  A couple more fixes and it wont be half
bad, lol.

Hmmm........I thought this didn't affect the actual driving, etc.   Has
that changed ?

The Draft Gauge and the auto-camera on race-ending accident can both be
disabled in the .plr file....which is why this thread was started, to
explain such things...

I'm sure it can, I just found it humorous that a "sim" had such a gauge at
all.  I thought the purpose of this title was to be focused purely at the
sim community?

From what I can tell, it is.  Now, if it doesn't fit YOUR definition of
that, oh well.

Options are a good thing imo.

Options are fine, was just commenting on how they made it an actual "gauge"
like it really exists in a real cup car is all.

I have no definitions to fit, only commenting on it.
