-Mad Catz Andretti Wheel Update

Well, I must say that I have yet to recalibrate the wheel!  This is a very
precise wheel.  (As a previous owner of a Thrustmaste GP1, NASCAR PRO, Logitech
Formula) This wheel is more precise than all of these other wheels that I've
had.  Since I've never owned a digital wheel, I think that is what makes the
difference. The digital microprocessor keeps the wheel dead center and to exact

a good wheel to get.  (Only works Win 95/98 games though)
Anyways, just my own personal experiences.

Well,  I have one and am happy with except one thing.  It seems to want to
turnhard left if you tap brakes while on the gas.  Have you had a similar
problem?

I am going to write Mad Catz about it to see what is deal.  Other then that
I am very happy with it.

That's more likely a problem with your game port.  I've had damaged
game ports that did the same thing.  I think maybe the power circuit
on the card can't supply enough current when all the pots are open,
so you get some strange behaviour.

Does the wheel support dual-axis?  If not,  how does your acceleration\braking
work?

Thanks
Rick

To the best of my knowledge, it does not.  Check out my review at:

http://irlinsider.adnetweb.com/sims/mcaw/

We will be dissecting the wheel in the next few weeks to see if you
can adapt other pedals (CH pedals, NASCAR Pro pedals, homebuilt,
etc.), or if it can be re-wired to provide dual-axis support.
Overall, I found this to be a decent wheel for GPL even without dual
axis support, thanks to the precision offered by the rock-solid
digital input.

As the owner of one, I agree 100%!
