Help: Jerky In-Car-View after Patch 1.1

by bob.. » Sun, 11 Jul 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

I've just installed the Patch 1.1 and now my In-Car-View is running
extremely jerky. Its not a problem of force-feedback. The Outside- and
all the camera-views are running better than before.

I've got a P266, 64 MB, Voodoo I, MS-FF.

Has anybody experienced the same problem ?
Thanks for any help ! :-)

Bye,

Bernd

Not extremely jerky, but there are sections/times where the view almost
warps (in a bit of jerky way) into what seems like slow motion.  It only
lasts for a few seconds and then things seem to be back to normal.  Rounding
the corner before the pit straight and then along the pit straight at
Watkins Glen is a good example.  I use a full field and the "jerkiness"
seems to coincide with the "normal" frame rate slow down areas near pits,
etc.

Marc.

At Monza passing the pits, especially when the pit board is displayed. About 1/3 of
the time, I can't read it as the "skip foreward" takes me past it before I can.

Hi,
I have hade a simular symptom on my system. It seems like the car/game takes a
small jump forward in time. I've seen it in a couple of places in Watkins Glen.
One of them along the pit straight just as you desribed it.
P2 266, Voodoo2 (8MB), onboard ESS soundcard, 64 RAM and Actlabs Force RS.
