: How do I get Indycar Racing 2 to use the current version of univbe
: (5.3) as the one with the game does't correctly spot my Tseng Labs
: 6000 chipset, but calls it the 4000, which does't display correctly.
: I have the full version of univbe (display dostor 5.3), but when I
: copy the uunivbe.drv to the ICR2 directory, the game tells me it's an
: invalid version number (i.e not 5.1).
: Any ideas on how to fix this???
Do not copy the driver to your ICR2 directory. Remove univbe drivers
from your ICR2 directory. Load display doctor's univbe into memory
before running ICR2. ICR2 will then use this version when it runs. It
may report that no univbe was found. What it is referring to is that it
could not locate one in its directory to load.
: P.S I use to own the INDY track of ICR1 but loss the disk, if i write
: to Papyrus for a replacment do you think they will send me a another
: disk??? i know they don't have a license anymore, but I should be on
: record somewhere..
I doubt that they even have any in stock to send you. Though they
maybe able to make a copy to floppy for you. I would contact them, but
you will need some form of "proof of purchase". Manual cover, UPC code
from box or something. I think your odds are NIL, they might replace a
defective disc, but not a missing one. There is no way that they would
know that you lost it and didn't give or sell it.
