OT: Graphic probs :-(

Ok, since we have such *** knowledge in this group, I thought..."What
better place to ask than rec.autos.simulators??"
When I'm not tearing up the ashphalt, I like to relax with a good game of
golf.
My TigerWoods 2002 game however, is giving me grief because after it loads I
get a black screen with just Tiger's golf glove as a cursor and nothing
else.
NowI know this is a racing group so please forgive me, but I thought with
all the experience racers in here have had with certain graphic anamolies,
that maybe...just maybe, someone might be able to help me out??? :-D
System is XP Pro SP1 with Sapphire Radeon 8500LE vid card ...newest 7.97
Catalyst drivers installed.
Game worked great with Win98SE but that OS I can no longer use for this
computer.
I have 30+ other games installed on my XP system (95% racing sims)  and they
all work excellent.
Could it be that all those RPMs have blown my golf bag out of the system?
lol
Thanks for any ideas gents...

Definitely graphics related.  I have TW2004 and, with my old Xabre card
(non ATI or nVidia), I would get the menu items, but no background
images, just a black background.  Having replaced that with a Radeon
9200 I now have my background images back.

Maybe your problem was a known one that was fixed with a patch for
TW2002.  Also, how much memory does your 8500 have?  Hardware mode
required at least 64Mb from searching through google groups.
