GPL Gurus,

Was wondering if anyone has run into this...

I have finally got GPL running nicely on my Win 2K machine, (P933,
256MB, GE Force Ultra), after finally noticing the core.ini settings
that needed to be added for the D3D renderer, (doh). Everything is
working pretty good, but I have finally learned La Sarthe enough to
want to try to run it with traffic, and with a full field, which
seemingly works fine on all of the default tracks (I haven't
scientifically tested all of them with new drivers etc.)  I get
hitches, like momentary freezes and or very drastic framerate drops at
certain points on the track. The first being the esses on the front
straight, the most drastic is at Mulsanne corner, going by the
signalling pits, and the third is going into Indianapolis.

I am using the new Papy D3D renderer, and the latest Detonator
drivers. I believe I have made all of the appropriate Win2K tweaks,
turning off all of the system restore junk and all of that.

Bummer is, these are all critical parts of the track, where it is real
easy to get out of shape.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Eric

Have you gotten the fix for the track that addresses these types of
problems?

Check out the news for June 12th...

No need to thank me... Thank RE and Co.

Doncha think the second turn of the kink, the right hander, is just
beyond description when you get it right? The feeling of getting
light, partially crossed up, feathering the throttle... It's just
wondeful. What a great track ;-)

My favorite track yet, though I'm not quick, getting to the consistent
1:30's.
