I saw this posted somewhere, and I don't remember his name, but it really
works.  Put these settings in the gns3dfx.bat or nas3dfx.bat file.  It
really helps out the frame rate.  3Dfx N2 runs as well for me as the
Rendition version does.

SET N2FXAA=0
SET N2FXFOG=0.00
SET N2FXFOGCOLOR=0a8a8a8
SET N2FXLOAD=0x100000
SET SST_FASTMEM=1
SET SST_FASTPCIRD=1
SET GLIDE_SWAPINTERVAL=0
SET SST_SCREENREFRESH=75
SET SST_RGAMMA=1.10
SET SST_GGAMMA=1.10
SET SST_bGAMMA-1.10
SET SST_GRXCLK=57
GNS3DFX.EXE -3DFX

Umm, this might work better:
SET SST_bGAMMA=1.10
(Note the "="!)

Just as a sidenote to Voodoo2 owners, don't forget to use SSTV2 instead of SST.
I can't recall finding this in the group anywhere, but found it elsewhere.

I have tried this but my machine locks up after the spinning logo if
I use any form of the SET N2FXLOAD= command.  If I REM it out, the
game loads and runs fine.  Anyone else notice this?

Yes.  I can't have that line functioning either.  Works just fine w/o it.

Rick,

     Go to a MS-DOS prompt.
     then type: edit nas3dfx.exe
A screen will appear, type the additional lines exactly as were
previously posted.
    Save file additions.

Thats all I did.

Windows 95 makes this possible also.  Just right-click on the bat file.  You
will see "Edit" so click on it.  The content appears now in Notepad. Simple
as heck !

I just tried this for the nas3dfx.exe file. It works great.

Thanks.

Yikes! I hope not!

Make sure you edit nas3dfx.bat !! A .bat file is like a list of
actions to be carried out upon call... So paste all those lines into
the above file, leave the call to the nas3dfx.exe at the bottom (this
starts the game), then run and see if it's better at all....

Jon.
